Lycée Josy Barthel

We, the classes 8e St P5 and 8e St P7 from the Lycée Josy Barthel say «moien» to you, which means hello in Luxembourgish. Our high school welcomes about 1200 pupils who are between 12-19 years old. It is situated in Mamer, a little town, only 10 minutes away from the capital city, Luxembourg.

We have to go to school about 30 hours a week. On Saturday and Sunday we do not have classes. We have the possibility to study a number of different courses. First of all languages: we learn German from the age of 6, French from the age of 9, and this year we start to learn English. Other courses are mathematics, biology, history, geography but we have also the possibility to be creative in arts classes and to get rid of our excess energy doing sports.

This year we are studying countries from outside the European Union in geography and so it would be nice to get to know people from Asia, and maybe even built some lasting friendships.

We are looking forward to hear from you,

8e St P5, 8e St P7
