ITIS S. Cannizzaro

ITIS Stanislao Cannizzaro of Colleferro (Rome) is a Technical Secondary School for Industry (Istituto Tecnico Industriale). This type of schooling consists of a “biennio” - first and second years - after which the students choose a “triennio” (three years) of specialisation (Electronics, Mechanics and Chemistry in my school).

Recently another type of course has been introduced in the school, called Liceo Scientifico Tecnologico, a unique course of five years, without any division between biennio and triennio, in which the students receive a more general scientific and technological teaching related to all the principal fields of science and technology together with a good linguistic and humanistic preparation.

We are 900 students, with 44 classes, including 6 evening classes for adults. The lessons start at 8:20 a.m. and finish at 1:50 pm from Monday to Friday, on Saturday school finishes at 12:00.

We have been doing collaborative projects with students from all over the world for several years, by using English as a global language. We have had a lot of Asian partners and collaborating with them has always been great. Last year we did a “real” exchange with two schools in Malaysia, it was so exciting for us visiting for the first time an Asian country and we hope our Malaysian friends enjoyed themselves in Italy last July. We are ready now to start a new exciting experience with you, please contact us!
