Culture Capsule was featured in the November 2007 issue of the Asia-Europe Classroom Network E-newsletter. Here is the article:

Today, we would like to bring your attention to one of the projects under the ASEF University Alumni Network (ASEFUAN), the "Culture Capsule". The Culture Capsule is a flagship project of the ASEF University Alumni Network (ASEFUAN) that involves cultural exchanges between students aged 9 to 17, from elementary and secondary schools in Asia and Europe.

Students exchange parcels, with letters, cultural symbols, local paraphernalia and through this process of exchange, these students get an opportunity to learn of the others' culture and at the same time debunk stereotypes and misconception that they may have about the other continent. What started off as a cross-regional only exchange has now been opened up to intra-regional exchanges. Several successful Culture Capsule projects have been done to date and students involved have tremendously enjoyed their experiences. Moreover, it does not cost much at all, since ASEFUAN covers expenses related to the project. All we need are good, committed educators and students who are willing to engage in inter-cultural exchange.
