Ida Nielsen (Denmark, AU15)
Ida is pursuing a master degree in Political Science at University of Copenhagen, while working as a student assistant in the Danish Parliament focusing on International Politics. Joining ASEFUAN in 2009 through the 15th ASEF University at Woosuk University, Republic of South Korea, she quickly found interest in the Culture Capsules project. She believes that the Culture Capsules are an opportunity to discover the beauty in the diversity of the world, offer self-reflection and inspire inter-cultural understanding. Please contact her on external_affairs@asefuan.org.
Elvira Pértega (Spain, AU8)
Elvira Pértega is a nurse specialised in Mental Health from Madrid, Spain. She finished her 3rd year of Nursing in Stockholm, and that experience in Sweden moved her, so since then she became very keen to learn other cultures. That was the reason why she studied Social Anthropology and started getting involved in intercultural events and internships. She is also very interested in arts and humanities, especially in music, as she studies Viola and Percussion in the Professional Conservatory in Madrid. Thanks to her profitable experiences with people from different backgrounds and cultures, she realized how much it contributes to personal growth and mutual understanding. She strongly believes the culture capsule project is an excellent opportunity for all those children to get to know they have much more similarities with fellows from different countries than differences. Elvira is responsible for contacts with schools, teachers and local culture capsule team members in Europe. You can contact her at elvira@culturecapsule.org.
Kathy Kyunghoo Lee (Korea, AU13)
Kathy is from and living in Seoul, Korea. She graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in law and also did a 1-year exchange program at the National University of Singapore. Since 2006, she's been working in performing arts, working as a volunteer translator and an intern in performing arts festivals. She's now working as a freelance translator in musical or play rehearsals. Language, art and culture have always been her biggest interests, and she enjoys travelling and meeting new people. She wants to contribute to promote cultural awareness and exchanges in the future. She really looks forward to be a part of the Culture Capsule project which is a great project to link many young students in Asia and Europe and foster mutual cultural understanding. Kathy is responsible for contacts with schools, teachers and local culture capsule team members in Asia. You can contact her at kathy@culturecapsule.org.
